Abstract of title to portions of lots 9, 10, 11 and 12 in block number 88 of the town of Clinton, Alameda County, Calif., 1885.

Abstract (75 p.) which records the ownership and summarizes the tranfer of deeds, 1853-1884, in Clinton, Calif., for portions of lots within block 88 bordered on the north and south by East 17th (formerly Monroe St.) and 16th (formerly Harrison) Streets and on the west and east by Eleventh (formerly Pierce St.) and Twelfth (formerly Polk St.) Avenues. The abstract begins with a short history of the land originally owned by the Peralta family, the Rancho de San Antonio, a portion of which was given to Antonio Maria Peralta. This history is followed by the list of transactions, which primarily concerns Robert F. Patten, William Patten, Moses Chase, David S. Lacy, and John C. McLemore (as members of the firm, Patten & Co.), who owned the land which contained the block shortly after Antonio Peralta. Other names include Ygnacio Peralta (regarding the estate of his son, Joaquin), John and Mary Jane Francis, and George F. Crist. Includes manuscript colored map.
